1. Who we are

This Cookie Policy applies to the website www.lmdvcapital.it (the “Website”), owned by LMDV Capital s.r.l., registered office at Via Monte Napoleone 5, 20121 Milan, Italy, tax code and VAT number 12326310963 (“LMDV”), which is the data controller. You can contact us at info@lmdvcapital.it.

 

2. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage, work in the same way. Under Article 122 of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021, technical tools that are strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user may be used without consent, while tools used for advertising or profiling require prior consent.

 

3. What this Website uses

The Website only uses two technical items, saved in your browser’s local storage. They are set by the Website itself, they contain no personal data and they are never sent to LMDV or to third parties:

  • darkmode – remembers whether you chose the light or the dark theme. It stays in your browser until you clear your browsing data.
  • lmdv-consenso – remembers that you have read the cookie notice, so that it is not shown again. It stays in your browser until you clear your browsing data.

As they are strictly necessary for features you request, these items do not require your consent.

 

4. What this Website does not use

The Website does not use cookies or similar tools for statistics, advertising or profiling, whether its own or from third parties. It includes no social media plugins, embedded videos or maps, and it does not load fonts, scripts or other content from external services: everything is served by the Website itself.

 

5. Hosting

The Website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States), which delivers the pages and protects the service against abuse. To do so, Vercel processes technical connection data, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, on behalf of LMDV as a data processor and only for as long as necessary. Vercel sets no cookies on the Website. Vercel Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; more information is available in Vercel’s privacy notice.

 

6. Links to other websites

The Website contains links to other websites, such as LinkedIn, YouTube, the websites of our portfolio companies and the whistleblowing platform. These websites open only when you click a link, and from then on their own cookie and privacy policies apply.

 

7. Managing your preferences

You can read the cookie notice again at any time with the round button at the bottom left of every page. You can delete the items described above by clearing your browser’s cookies and site data: the Website will keep working, but it will forget your theme choice and show the cookie notice again.

 

8. Changes

If LMDV decides to use tools that require consent, it will update this Cookie Policy and ask for your consent before activating them.
